The sock has some cushioning but they are on the small side ( I wear a size 9 shoe ). My ankles are not on the large side, in fact they are kind of small but the elastic around the ankle is tight. I will keep but not buy again.These socks work great for my slip on shoes. No issuesThese are my go to socks. Stay in place and don't slip at the back.
